Just had my first listen to Nurses full length, ‘Apple’s Acre’. It sure is something else. Layer upon beautiful layer cascades upon the ear, drenching it in thought. Different, but not unfamiliar, ‘Apples’s Acre’ is provoking. It slides in and out of you in unexpected ways. Comes at you from unanticipated direction. Something exists between the notes and harmonies and drums. There is something in the sparseness that beckons. It pulls you in, and the sound of the music is your shelter. It is your blanket from the silence.
